  • Paperless Capability: Comprehensive paperless option, allowing users to complete all tasks and generate reports directly on the portal or their portable devices, which can be utilized by lab technicians and management.
  • Sample Management and Tracking : Enables tracking of samples from any location based on various criteria, such as sample type, item, sampling point, and expiry date, to facilitate further processing and disposal.
  • Attach Images and Documents (PDF, JPG, etc.) : In cases where a sample is deemed unsuitable, a photo is taken as evidence and subsequently attached to the result report. This feature is included in the Revol LIMS solution.
  • Lab Instruments Interfacing / Integration : Laboratory instruments can be integrated using one of the following methods: if the instrument can generate reports in formats such as PDF, Excel, or CSV, data can be extracted by connecting a device to the RS232 port or other connectivity options. For older instruments, a manual entry screen is provided for entering results.
  • Calculations : Offering a platform for performing moderately complex formulas and calculations based on the reading values obtained from the instruments.
  • Quality Control (QC): Comprehensive QC services to ensure that all laboratories adhere to QC management methodologies in line with ISO 17025:2017 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for testing laboratories. This will be achieved using the Revol inventory management system, which will monitor activities such as lot number and expiration date tracking for QC purposes.

The Configurable Workflow in Revol LIMS allows you to customize the workflow to accommodate your sample life cycle. It can be customized with ease to cater the need of your sample and lab requirements. Adaptive workflow to define new status, create automatic transitions, add new approval and e-signature steps to suit your laboratory requirements.

Revol Workflow is preconfigured in advance, to meet the demands of the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, life science, forensic, environmental and testing & calibration industries and to ensure a smooth ride in operations by handling time efficiently and increasing the productivity there by reducing the cost of implementation and simultaneously increasing the productivity and hence saving time.

Multitier Architecture

The presentation tier comprises web browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Firefox, and Opera. The application tier is built on the Java Play Framework, while the data tier includes a database server (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL). Reports can be generated directly from Revol on the application server tier or through a dedicated report server tier.

Web Browser

Revol LIMS operates entirely within a web browser on the client tier. The application does not require any browser plug-ins or applets, significantly simplifying deployment and system validation. A minimum of 1 Mbps TCP/IP bandwidth is required for the client, making it an ideal solution for wide-area access from a centrally hosted server. Higher bandwidth results in improved speed and performance.

Reporting

Revol LIMS offers multiple options for data analysis and reporting. Out of the box, it utilizes iText, SSRS Reports, or AI Report, which execute from the application server.

Instrument Integration

Revol LIMS features a robust framework for integrating instruments and systems across the enterprise. This includes a data integration platform for instrument and system interfacing, as well as web services to ensure seamless system interoperability.

Result Entry

The Revol Result Entry screen allows users to view previous results for each parameter before entering new data. It provides alerts for out-of-spec results and enables result entry either by sample or analysis.
